Vision

CHAT, promoting Health for ALL envisions an equitable and just society where people’s health is in people’s hand. CHAT moves beyond from being a network of individual practitioners to promoting networks, advocating and lobbying for the broader determinants of health.

Mission

CHAT commits itself to a society where the institution of the family is empowered to contribute to total care of each individual in the family, where people are aware of all aspects and dimensions of health and where there is no commercialization of medicine and alternative forms of medicine play their rightful role.

Our Origin

CHAT was established and registered in the year 1997 with the motto of “Reaching out.... Giving Life...!” It promotes community based integral health to the poor and marginalized sectors of people especially children, women and elders through the member institutions within its jurisdiction.

It caters to the health care needs and requirements including formation of village health volunteers and skill development training programs to poor people in target villages of more than 10,000 in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry States through our member institutions.
